Ever heard of "Pay It Forward"?

It's actually 2000 film about a young boy attempting to make the world a better place by doing good to 3 people..and asking those 3 people to do something good to another 3 people. Just imagine what difference it will make. It says "Dream Big. Start Small" I'm really hyped right now. After watching the trailer of the movie below I'm inspired to start my own "Pay It Forward" movement.

I think super ganda ng idea na to! You do good things without expecting something in return .at least not to you but to other people. A selfless act.

Raw Talent by the Sidewalk

I stumbled upon this video on one blog site and I couldn't help but be really amazed. I shed tears while listening to it. I couldn't imagine a talent like that just left neglected.

Arjohn Gilbert from Marcos Village in Mabalacat, Pampanga sells flutes for a living, but he can also make head-bopping music without any instrument other than his own voice.

The young Aeta boy is often spotted singing in front of Puregold at the Clark Freeport Zone.

"I'm singing the Justin Bieber, the 'Baby'," says Gilbert before launching into an energetic rendition of the hit song, which was the first video on Youtube to earn 500 million page views.

Thanks to Youtube user Ryanesky, Gilbert can now be seen on YouTube, singing hits from Bruno Mars, Mariah Carey, and Sean Kingston.

Gilbert seems to be a natural performer, and his enthusiasm is infectious.

"Sorry for the unstable video coverage... I had to bounce to the beat!" the uploader apologizes in the video description, explaining the shaky video in his notes.

The video was uploaded on July 31, 2011 and has gained over 30,000 views in the past three days alone. It has been liked by over 3,000 viewers and disliked by only 20 people, and is being rapidly shared across social networks like Facebook and Twitter.

"Despite his poor living condition, God gave him talent :) He must be discovered!" said Facebook user Isabel Bulatao on her wall.

"Akmang akma lang sa boses niya," Facebook user Joselle Credo observed of Mariah Carey's "When Angels Cry," which Gilbert sang as easily as he belted out parts of Sean Kingston's "Shawty's Like a Melody in My Head" and Bruno Mars' "Just the Way You Are."

Twitter user Francis Chiu shared the video with TheEllenShow, describing Gilbert as a "homeless kid but with killer vocals."

YouTube users who watched the video also think Gilbert is very promising.

"awesome!!!!! good diction too. i think we can have some space beside maria aragon. :)," wrote bien2t.

"Sisikat 'to," commented YouTube user Jordiniffic. "Mas sisikat pa 'to kaysa kila Moymoy Palaboy," agreed Captainbarbell10.

"May future ang batang 'yan... Sana ma discover siya," commented SuperRyanjoshua.

Scholarship grant

It's not the first time Gilbert has attracted the attention of netizens. In fact, he had already been "discovered" before.

In 2009, Gilbert was featured on the GMA public affairs show Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho. "Pag kumakanta siya, hindi ko pinapansin, parang wala sa akin," Gilbert's mother Rebecca said on the program. "Pero nagulat na lang po ako na may pumunta dito sa amin," she said.

"Marami rin nagsasabi sa akin, nakikita siya sa Internet. Baka madiskubre ka na diyan Arjohn, sabi ko," added his father Johnny.

"Pagbalik ko po dito pinalakpakan po ako, sabi ng Barangay Captain magaling ako," said Gilbert in an interview on 24 Oras.

Many people can't help but take a video when they see Gilbert performing on the street. On YouTube, several people have uploaded videos of Gilbert, which have been viewed thousands of times.

Gilbert's family and neighbors are his audience when he practices, but his Internet audience is much larger.

A video of Gilbert singing Colbie Calliat's "Bubbly" was viewed over 150,000 times, while one of him singing Mariah Carey's "Always Be My Baby" had almost 200,000 views.

On Wish Ko Lang aired on March 21, 2009, Gilbert was given a videoke mic, a scholarship grant for sessions at the Center for Pop Music Philippines Inc., and a contract with GMA Artists Center.

Gilbert's contract expired last year, and although Gilbert gets "discovered" with every video of him, his dream to become a professional singer has yet to be fulfilled.

Two years after his first television appearance, Gilbert can still be found selling flutes around Clark, turning heads and impressing people with his talent.

Gilbert may not be as fortunate as children with easy access to the Internet, but in the age of YouTube, even a street kid can get his fifteen minutes of fame, or at least, his share of shares. - YA, GMA News

I'm the type who rarely comes to like cutesy concepts. But this TWINKLE TWINKLE song of the KPOP girl group named GIRL's DAY (yes, you heard it right) is really growing in me and I just found myself listening to it over & over again. You may wanna want to listen to it so here's a video.



I think the song is catchy & danceable & the choreography is cute & easy to follow.

I'm too late!

A Hard-earned fan in Me!

I seemed to have chanced upon this clip about the Pinay sensation Charice Pempengco.

Here you'll see her coming back to STAR KING..the Korean show where she guested & later on discovered by Ellen & Oprah. This is like her paying back to the people she owes..

Although there was some delay of reactions..due to tranlsations..It was quite a good show to watch.

One Korean singer named LUNA volunteered to sing on the stage hoping that she'll also be discovered by David Foster. It was supposedly her part only

BUT the show's hillariously funny host insisted that Charice also sings.

So it came out like a showdown

(or was there really?)

LUNA first to sing ONE MOMENT IN TIME.

well, that was good.

But not quite good even to compete with Charice.

No bragging intended I swear!

Charice' turn came & as usual I got goosebumps..it was like a suuper amazing scene to behold!

The Korean singer was outperformed!!

..no I think that's an understatement. something more than that I guess.

She was crying..

anyway..I almost told the whole video..

so my point was that Charice just earned a FAN in me!

How she handle the situation?? how she made me really proud to be a Filipino..

Living in the Wizarding World

Harry Potter has been a part of my maturity & growth.

I've followed it's lead characters Harry, Ron & Hermionie grow up.

I imagine life & school with them.

being seatmate & classmate with Hermionie..

studying in the library..

being in the Griffindor Common Room..

..riding the firebolt..or nimbus 2000..

casting spells..

making potions.

I've done all of that! in my dreams..only.

And I knew it was just like that. They will only remain in my reverie.

......

But as the Harry Potter Theme Park has materialized, my immature fantasy has finally found solace.

Who wouldn't want to visit Daigon Alley?

It's definitely now one of my life dreams/aspirations.

I will someday go to Florida & visit the Theme Park..even if it takes years..I will definitely go there.

I will relive the moment...

and hopefully meeet them as well.

Mulan The Movie - Free Online Watching

I am still wiping my tears from watching Mulan The Movie....still so deeply immersed & affected by the sacrifice Wen Tai & Mulan gave for the peace of their country. How can love make you feel so wonderful yet hurt you so much at the same time?

yeah that's right.. i felt love in the movie for the first time. I am not really that kind who easily falls for romantic movies. This one is just so touching...I rate the movie 9.5 out of 10. I don't wanna narrate the movie.

..by the way I'd like to thank Laine for introducing the movie to me.

I've never heard of this movie until I've read a comment of a blogger here. She mentioned that she want to watch the said movie. Then I followed that lead & did some research. I found the complete parts of movie on youtube.

2010 Presidentiables/VicePresidentiables' Appeal to People through their Ads

What would our country be in a few years?? Will it ever bounce back from the mud or will it sink deeper into it?

As the 2010 national election draws closer I am becoming more & more critical of the candidates, especially the presidentiables...I hope & wish other young people my age share the same anxiety about it. I hope majority of them would care enough to investigate.analyze & be more cautious. not just anticipate for the money that will come flooding.

Until now I haven't decided yet who to choose....I am still in the process of getting to know them and their potentials to carry out their promises.

Although their advertisements say little about who they really are I still would like to share these. It may be a measure of somethin'. Let's just try to read between the lyrics.

Above: Manny Villar's famous jingle. I get to hear this very often from the MRT, radio, TV, kids and even from my own lips. (heheh...last song syndrome?)

Above: Noynoy Aquino's -- sounds really just like talking. Akala ko si Boy Abunda saying his known line 'Kaibigan tara usap tayo'

Above: Gibo Teodoro's -- looks really simple. The poor people being used in ads really touches our emotions & appeals to the 'masa' but it's just until there. Afterwards they are being neglected.

Above: Dick Gordon - (for Pres.) - The transformers

Above: Loren Legarda - (for VP)-- as a woman the ad realy appeals to mothers & women.the song so mellow & peaceful. how I wish to live in a wolrd like that.

Above: Jejomar Binay -(for VP) the Makati City Mayor - I'm thinkin' of considering him. but him being paired with former Pres. Joseph estrada is a wrong move I think. It's like he's been tainted as well by the latter's image.

.....I've been trying to look for ex-pres. Joseph Estrada's campaign ad but it's nowhere on the web. maybe I'll just update this later.

The Little Known Legally Blondes 3

Legally Blonde(s)

You might probably have heard this because of the previous series like Legally Blonde 1 & 2 starred by no other than the hollywood actress Reese Witherspoon. At the 2nd movie at the ending part she (Reese) had mentioned that her next stop after the harvard law school & the house of representatives is the White House, which gives us a picture of a first woman head of the White House. I even imagined that she'll transform it to a Pink House. I was really giddy for the 3rd one. Then when I've learned that the 3rd is totally different I was extremely disappointed! As in... and I think that's how others felt also. That's the reason why the 3rd one wasnt such a hit although it's produced by Witherspoon. But I still watched the trailer inspite of my sorrow & much to my surprise I found it interesting. And indeed it is!

The story is interesting but the acting is not. Just don't expect too much from their talents to move your emotions.

Synopsis:

"When Elle Woods young, blonde cousins Annie and Izzy (Milly and Becky Rosso) moved from England to California, they thought their pink clothes, small dogs and street smarts would make them instantly fit in and feel at home. However, they find they are miles away from the uniform fashions and money-focused power structure of their new prep school. When the schools reigning forces turn on the girls and try to frame them for a crime, Izzy and Annie must use their cleverness and charm to clear their names and show the school that in the classroom or the courtroom, they should never underestimate the power of blondes!"

I have watched this movie Legally Blondes 3 from an online site. I've long been looking for it but none was available & credible. Most of them were just spams. Luckily I came across this site & there I was so entertained.

Psych 3A Memorabilia - Group Dynamics
